Dental Imaging Consultants was formed in 2009 with the primary goal of providing dentistry with comprehensive and easy to use solutions for quality assurance of digital diagnostic radiographic imaging.
Each x-ray machine in the dental practice can be assessed using the RaySafe ThinX Intra or RaySafe Solo DENT device. The kVp, HVL, dose, dose rate, pulses and exposure time can be measured. A report on the performance of each x-ray machine can be generated for compliance with state and federal regulatory mandates.
Using the patented Digital Dental Quality Assurance – (DDQA) x-ray phantom the optimum radiation exposure for each digital x-ray sensor and x-ray machine can be determined to provide the highest quality diagnostic image with the lowest possible radiation dose to the patient. Subsequently, the same DDQA phantom can be used to ensure that the radiographic sensor and x-ray machine are performing to the highest diagnostic standard.
