Quality assurance phantom for digital dental imaging.
This journal article reviews some general principles of quality assurance as it relates to digital intraoral radiography. It also describes the development, design, utilization and validation of a novel radiographic phantom (DDQA) for image quality optimization and quality assurance for digital dental imaging.

Evaluation of image quality parameters of representative intraoral digital radiographic systems.
This journal article describes the use of the Digital Dental Quality Assurance (DDQA) phantom to objectively analyze and compare 20 different digital intraoral imaging systems. This is the most comprehensive objective analysis of imaging parameters (contract/detail resolution, spatial resolution and dynamic range) for commercially available digital dental intraoral imaging systems every reported in the dental literature.
